The subject of this blog is finding success in God. The Bible has much to say about His children being successful. That is why He gave us the Proverbs 16:3 promise.
Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him;
He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and]
so shall your plans be established and succeed.
Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC)
God is calling to us come into partnership with Him. As we do our part by making a plan and rolling it upon Him, He will do His by giving us the thoughts we need to be established in peace and move forward knowing what to do.
This past year, we have learned that life can have some surprises—but we don’t have to be caught off guard! When something unexpected arises, we can simply turn to God and ask for His thoughts. He knows how to get us to the other side of any “surprise.”
Any well-meaning father would love it if his child would ask for wisdom rather than isolate themselves and struggle on their own. God, our heavenly Father has all
the answers. He knows what we should do in every
situation, and all we have to do is say, “Father, cause my thoughts to agree with Your will concerning this situation.”
In these 21 days of blog posts, we are going to practice
applying Proverbs 16:3 to making healthy choices. When we learn how easy and gratifying it is, we will want to apply God’s promise to every situation we face.
So grab your journal and pencil out how you plan to navigate your day. Now you are ready to submit your plan to God.
