In my lost post I wrote, “As a child of God, we can depend on all the promises listed in Psalms 91.” What does it mean to be a “child of God?”
A while back my husband, who grew up a regular church attender, had revelation into becoming God’s child. Dave said, “There are foster children and there are children who are adopted
into the family. A foster child is loved and cared for, but an adopted child takes on the family name and becomes an intimate part of the family. The Bible says it this way:
And you did not receive the “spirit of religious duty,”
leading you back into the fear of never being good enough.
But you have received the “Spirit of full acceptance,”
enfolding you into the family of God.

A child of God never has to feel alone or vulnerable because the Father’s loving arms holds them and keeps them safe. God personally invites each of us into the family and then He waits for us to come.
