Finding Our New Normal #4

We may not know exactly what our “new normal” will look like in the days to come but it is good to know there is a place in God where we can experience His peace. When we come near to Him and ask for His perspective on the situations we face, He reminds us of His love for us. In that love, we find stability and security.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall remain stable and
fixed under the shadow of the Almighty
[Whose power no foe can withstand].

As we commit each day to the Lord and ask for His thoughts, He is more than willing to instruct us in what to do—and
what not to do. Who knew we could just ask? Think about it, if you are a parent, wouldn’t you be pleased if your child would ask for your advice? What if you are a business owner and one of your employees asked for your insight?
In the days, weeks, and even years ahead we have the opportunity to remain anchored in God, no matter what is happening around us. As a child of God, we can depend on all the promises listed in Psalms 91. Take a few minutes and make a list of them. As you jot them down, thank God that He already made provision for what He knew we were going to need.
Daily expressing our gratitude to God will anchor our souls in His loving faithfulness to us—and bring us hope for the days ahead.
This hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor for our souls.
It leads us through the curtain into God’s inner sanctuary.

If we truly want more of God in our lives, we have to be willing to make room for Him. And that’s not always easy. But we’re not expected to do it alone.
