HELP IS ON THE WAY!
I have been telling you for a while now that God wants to help each of us be successful in this life. Why would He not?? Just like any well-meaning father, He wants His children to be successful in not just some things, but He wants us to be successful in everything!
But are we? No. Why is that?
It’s because we’re human and we tend to take matters into our own hands rather than committing our plans to God, and asking Him how are day should go.
When we buy a new appliance, it comes with an operator’s manual to show us how the manufactures designed for it to work at peak performance. It’s human nature to assume we already know, so what do we do? Plug it in and fiddle with it until we get it to run.
Sometimes we are successful to get the appliance to operate but are we getting the most out of it? When we buy a new or different car, it comes with a six inch owner’s manual. Every detail of every aspect of the car is in that manual. I often wonder, “What percentage of my car am I actually utilizing?”
In the following scripture, it says that all of our days were manufactured by God.
You saw me before I was born.
Every day of my life was recorded in your book.
Every moment was laid out
before a single day had passed.
Psalms 139:16 (NLT)
The Bible also says that He wants us to live each of our days to the fullness of what He has designed for us.
The Lord directs the steps of the godly.
He delights in every detail of their lives.
Psalms 37:23 (NLT)
Verse five of Psalms 37 says—
Commit everything you do to the Lord.
Trust him, and He will help you.
Psalms 37:5 (NLT)
And if that isn’t enough, how about this promise?
Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets
you do not know about things to come.
Jeremiah 33:3 (NLT)
And these? God will never leave us without support. (Hebrews 13:5 AMPC) He leads us on paths that we should follow. (Isaiah 48:17 NLT) And He takes pleasure when we prosper. (Psalms 35:27 NKJV) ….and the list goes on!
So let’s be diligent to commit each of our days and all of our plans to God and ask for His thoughts. Then when we follow the directions, we will be established in peace and find success. (Taken from Proverbs 16:3 AMPC)
So are you ready to pray that powerful little prayer — that sets everything in a peaceful order??
Father, I commit my plans (my day) to You.
Cause me to think the way You think —
So I know what to do.
And when He gives us His thoughts, let’s be quick to thank Him for His goodness towards us.
