In the times that we are living in, it is nice to know there is a place where we can not only feel secure, but we can be
secure. The Bible says there is a place beside Him on the rock. (Exodus 33:21) It also says that —
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High
shall remain stable and fixed
under the shadow of the Almighty
[Whose power no foe can withstand].
Psalm 91:1 (AMPC)
Thankfully, we have been given an open invitation as one of God’s children to come into His presence where we will be “established” in peace.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God.
There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us
when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:16 (NLT)
My last post talked about having a daily meeting with God, submitting our plans to Him, and asking for His help. When we do that, God promises to “establish” us.
Roll your works upon the Lord [commit and trust them wholly to Him;
He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and]
so shall your plans be established and succeed.
Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC)
Because I enjoy studying words, I went to the Strong’s Concordance and looked up the Hebrew definition for “established.” As you read through the following list of definitions, think of the plans that you have for this week.
…so shall your plans be arranged in order
…so shall your plans be organized, fixed, and substantiated
…so shall your plans be directed and settled
…so shall your plans be secure and enduring
…so shall your plans be restored
…..and I saved the best for last. Drum roll, please!!
…so shall you be provided for!!
Stop and think about that! Your plans will “be provided for” if they agree with God’s will. I don’t know about you, but this motivates me to be intentional about having a daily meeting with God. Being in partnership with Him and allowing Him to direct our thoughts, our steps, and our plans according to His will causes our plans to be established — and provided for.
If you haven’t had your meeting with God today, stop what you are doing right now, tell Him your plans, and ask Him what He thinks! You’ll be so glad you did!
