Feeling Fit and Fab #1

I am very excited about spending these next two months in community with you. I believe that God has given me a plan because He wants us to make healthy decisions during this time!
Why not go through this holiday season energized and focused rather than slumping through until January 1st—the time when we traditionally start our diet and exercise routines. As we follow God’s plan, we will be way ahead of the game as this year comes to a close.
God designed us as individuals so it stands to reason that He has an individual plan that works for each of us. That is why I won’t be talking about diets and exercise, but instead, I will come alongside you and encourage you to work your
plan.
Once we have our ideas in place for the following four areas, we will apply our Proverbs Promise (Proverbs 16:3 AMPC) and ask God to help us.
- Eating
- Hydrating
- Exercising
- Sleeping
The ball is now rolling. As we turn our ideas over to God and ask for His input, He will instruct us in the way we should go so that we can be make the right decisions all day long.
As these four areas begin operating correctly in our lives, we will be well on our way to “feeling fit and fab” by the first of the year. So let’s DO this!!
Let’s be proactive so we do not have to be a product of our circumstances. We have had enough of those disappointments over the last nine months. I am OVER IT! How about you?
Grab a notebook and pencil and jot down some healthy choices that you can make today. Then pray this simple little prayer as you submit your plan to God—the Creator and Designer of your body. (Psalms 139: 13-16)
Father, I submit my plans to You
Cause me to think the way You think—
So I know what to do
(based on Proverbs 16:3 AMPC)
Then as you proceed through your day, be mindful that you are in partnership with God. The two of you are doing this together—and because God is involved, your chances of success are far greater than if you were doing this alone.
At the close of the day, reflect on all the good things that happened for you and be sure to thank the One who made that possible!!
NOTE: Repeat “Day 1” each day for the next week—and the next month! In doing so, you will be partnering with God to create a new way of thinking and a new way of operating throughout your day.

Beginning the day with God puts us in a posture of surrender. We release our plans, seek His wisdom, and step into the peace that comes from trusting His direction.
