Feeling Fit and Fab #2

You might be thinking that this is not the best time to begin this kind of a blog challenge — with the holidays coming up and all. I just want you to remember that this is about making right choices concerning the care of our bodies — not about following hard and fast rules. Been there — done that — and it only lasted a short time before disappointment set in. This time we are working in partnership with God, taking one day at a time and asking for His help.
The first question to ask ourselves is, “How do we want to feel at the end of today?”
If we want to feel successful, we can do that by eating the right foods in the right amounts, exercising whether it be a walk or a full blown workout, drinking enough water to be hydrated, and organizing our evening for a good night’s sleep. When we ask for God’s help and are willing to let Him help us, we will be successful one day at a time. The choice to feel good at the end of the day is completely up to us!
The Bible says that we can sow to the flesh and do whatever we
want or we can sow to the Spirit by planning ahead and deciding what is best
to do. (Galatians 6: 7-8 NLT) Again the choice is totally ours. I like to say, “Doing the right thing is a gift we give ourselves.”
We have all just come through a time when Covid robbed us of many choices — but taking care of ourselves is a choice that belongs to us. If we partner with God based on our Proverbs Promise (Proverbs 16:3 AMPC), we will come through this season looking and feeling “Fit and Fabulous!” Now isn’t that better than the alternative?
Let me ask you again — “How do you want to feel at the end of today?”

When we talk to God about our concern, the Bible says we can expect that God will cause our thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and then we’ll know what to do. It’s not as hard as we think. As we spend time with God, it will become our key to success.
