During times when it seems like the world is spinning out of control, we are learning the joys of praying our 30-Second Prayer, “Father, cause me to think the way You think so I know what to do.”
We are learning how to commit the care of our bodies to God and asking for His help. Whatever area of our life that we turn over to God—is the area where He will help us thrive.
I hope by now that you have had some successful days and you feel motivated to keep the ball rolling. If you are reading these posts but haven’t yet developed a plan or taken any action, I encourage you to do so. A few months ago I was thinking about being more intentional about making sure I was supplying my body with the right nutrients. It occurred to me to use the “My Fitness Pal” app to determine if my protein/carb ratio was in balance. It was a great idea but I never put that idea into action—until now!!
If we sow an action—we will reap a habit.
If we sow a habit—we will reap a lifestyle.
And that’s what we want! As we commit each day to God and allow Him to be involved, He will work in us to want
to make healthy choices. Without His involvement, it may become just another futile attempt and another disappointment.
As you go throughout your day, be mindful of God’s presence, and don’t be afraid to mentally or verbally ask Him questions about how you can successfully make the right choices for you. One day the Lord said to me, “I will be to you as personal as you want Me to be.”
That was a gift He gave to me—and it’s also for you!!

If we truly want more of God in our lives, we have to be willing to make room for Him. And that’s not always easy. But we’re not expected to do it alone.
