I have been telling you about my new Blog Challenge for “Feeling Fit and Fab” during the holidays. This is not just one more “change-your-behavior-and-win” challenges that grab your attention on the internet. This is about learning to develop a relationship with God and asking for His help to change the way you think.
We’ve tried to change our behavior before—and it worked for a time, but if we change the way with think, our behavior will automatically come into line. We won’t have to make
ourselves do the right thing. Instead, we will want
to do it!
And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind
[having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude]…
Ephesians 4:23 (AMPC)
We are going to allow God to change the way we think through this holiday season. As we commit our daily plans to God, He promises to help us. Our foundational promise (Proverbs 16:3 AMPC) says that as we partner with Him, He will cause our thoughts to line up with His will so that we will have success— one day at a time.
I am going to help you apply that promise to four areas:
- Eating
- Drinking
- Exercising
- Sleeping
I believe that as we commit these areas of our lives to God in the next two months, He will reveal to us how personal we are to Him. Not only will we feel better physically, but we will have laid the groundwork for a deeper relationship with God.

When we talk to God about our concern, the Bible says we can expect that God will cause our thoughts to become agreeable to His will, and then we’ll know what to do. It’s not as hard as we think. As we spend time with God, it will become our key to success.
