Would you continue to go to a counselor….or a doctor….or an attorney to get advice if you did not trust them? No! It would be a waste of time. You would search out someone you could put your faith in. You might even ask a trusted friend who they would recommend.
Allow me to be that friend today.
When I sat down to write The 30-Second Prayer That Changes Everything, I knew that my message had to be based on the fact that God is good. If we don’t believe that, we certainly are not going to bother having a meeting with Him. I am passionate about the message of God’s goodness and it’s one of the main reasons I wrote the book.
If we aren’t careful, we will base our beliefs on our past experiences rather than on the truth of God’s Word. I have adopted the premise that God is good no matter what I have seen, heard, or experienced myself. With that perception, I look for the good because I know that’s where I will find God. (Please read my second post if you haven’t already.)
I recommend that you set up a meeting with God and see for yourself if He can be trusted. Keep in mind that it may take more than one meeting to establish communication with Him. God will be there but sometimes it takes us a few meetings before we realize it. I suggest that you begin your meeting by asking Him to show you what He wants for your day.

If you don’t think He heard you, get up tomorrow and do it again…and again…and again. Before you crawl into bed, review your day to see if God may have guided your steps and thoughts for a successful outcome. I have found out if I don’t do that so many things slip by when really God was at work on my behalf.
