Making Healthy Choices #21

We began 2021 by applying our Proverbs 16:3 promise each day for 21 days. I hope this spiritual “exercise” has set you on course towards making successful decisions — not only for making a healthy choice but for every aspect of your life.
The application of this promise will not only guide us through the day successfully, but it will also take us through times when we feel confused, frustrated, and overwhelmed.
In Proverbs 16:3, God invites us to partner with Him. When we choose to do so, we are allowing God to be involved in our lives. When we embrace God’s ideas and His thoughts and put them into practice, we will be on our way to a successful outcome. Never again does life have to be too big for us!
God wants us to have His peace, His simplicity, and His joy in our daily lives, and most especially during difficult times. My book, The 30-Second Prayer That Changes Everything, has a subtitle—
“Living the life you love — one moment at a time!”
This “30-Second Prayer” is only one part of my prayer life, but it is a very vital
part of it. Committing my plans to God and inviting Him to give me His thoughts has brought me an intimacy with Him that I could never imagined. I think the following scripture says it best:
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard,
and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared
for those who love him.”
For, “Who can know the Lord’s thoughts?
Who knows enough to teach him?”
But we understand these things, for we have the mind of Christ.
1 Corinthians 2:9, 16 (NLT)
God’s thoughts are available to us each day throughout this year and beyond. If we do our part by submitting our plans to Him, we will confidently be able to say that —
“This will be our best year ever!”
