NO REGRETS

We all have our routines that automatically come into play as we rise at the beginning of the day…bathroom….coffee….news/weather, etc. Kudos to those of you who make your bed before leaving the bedroom. Coffee comes before chores at my house!
What would happen if as soon as we grab our coffee, we sit down and think about what we want to accomplish for the day? I have gotten in the habit of choosing three things each day. They aren’t all necessarily big
things but I try to think of the most important ones.
Here’s a question we can ask ourselves, “When this life is over, what will I regret that I did not take the time to do?”
Will I regret that I did not—
- Spend time with God at the beginning of the day?
- Contact that friend or family member that keeps coming to mind?
- Intentionally show my spouse love and respect?
- Spend quality time with my kids?
- Purposefully be kind to the people I meet during my day?
- Steward well the things that God has given me?
How about this one?
I regret that I didn’t consistently commit my plans to God and ask for His thoughts so I could enjoy the fruit of a day well-spent with God — and then thank Him for all the amazing things that transpired.
Let’s not wait another minute!!
Father, I commit my plans to You.
Cause me to think the way You think—
So I know what to do.
Now, as you move through the day, talk to Him, ask Him questions, and most importantly, allow Him to —
