Receiving Jesus Christ as your Savior is personal. It’s a decision leading you into an up-close relationship with God. James 4:8 invites us to come close to Him and He will come close to us.
God knows our names, where we live, and what we are going through every moment of every day, and He personally
wants to help us. Jesus has made a way for each of us to come to God and ask for His help.
I remember the day when these words came into my thoughts:
“Whatever you turn over to Me — I will take care of for you.”
This is such good news because we all have times when life becomes too big for us. An unexpected bill, a physical diagnosis, or maybe a relationship that is shaking and about to crumble.
Any situation that we don’t know how to handle can cause us to feel vulnerable. Thankfully, as we turn the problem over to God, He promises to help us walk through
it. We don’t have to hesitate or be afraid, because He has given us an open invitation to bring our concerns to Him and ask for His help.
“Give your burdens to the Lord,
and He will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.”
Psalm 55:22 (NLT)
In Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC), we have also learned that we can roll our cares upon God, and ask for His thoughts so we know what to do when unexpected situations arise. When we do that, God causes our thoughts to line up with His will. Ideas pop into our thought process, giving us directionso that we can walk through the problem and “be established and succeed.”
What burdens are you carrying today? God’s invitation is extended to all of us. Why not practice rolling your daily concerns upon Him so that you are ready when life becomes too big for you?
