WHAT WE KNOW FOR SURE
There are so many voices out there right now — all saying something different, counteracting others and even themselves.
To find encouragement I asked the question, “What do I know for sure?”
I know —
- If I draw near to God, He will draw near to me. (James 4:8)
- He will never leave or forsake me. (Hebrews 13:5)
- God holds me close to His heart. (Isaiah 40:11)
- I do not need to be afraid; God will help me. (Isaiah 41:10)
- He watches over my coming and going. (Psalms 121)
- Ask I look to God, He keeps me in perfect peace. (Isaiah 26:3)
- God perfects that which concerns me. (Psalms 138:8 NKJV)
…..and the list goes on!
I encourage you to make your own list. If you need help with referencing God’s promises, here’s a good starting place.
(I googled "Scriptures that God is near". Click to see what came up.)
You might highlight your promises in your actual Bible and even on the "Bible App" on your phone. It's nice to have them with you on the go. Then you’ll have them handy if you need them.
Let me leave you with this:
A 30-Second Prayer
Father, I commit my concerns to You.
Cause me to think the way You think—
So I know what to do.
(Based on Proverbs 16:3 AMPC)
