If I were to give this post another title, I would call it, “God’s Vocabulary Words.” You can probably tell from this that I am a former elementary school teacher. I always made sure that my students had an understanding of any new vocabulary words before they began to read. That made it easier for them to grasp the content of the story.
God has “vocabulary words” that He wants to understand so that we will be aware of His will for us. Sometimes we struggle to know what God wants but in truth—He’s not keeping His words, His solutions, His answers, and His instructions from
us but He is keeping them for
us. He wants us to interact with Him so that we know what He wants in every situation. That’s why our Proverbs 16:3 is such a dynamic promise.
I have found that the more I talk with God and the more I expect His response—the more I hear what He wants for me. This motivates me to continually invite Him into my day—and that’s why I previously said, “You may feel alone—but you are not.” God is ready and waiting to do life
with us. He wants to help us by downloading His thoughts onto our hard drive so we know what to do.
That is what the Scriptures mean when they say,
“No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined
what God has prepared for those who love Him.”
But it was to us that God revealed these things by His Spirit.
For Hs Spirit searches out everything and shows us God’s deep secrets.
1 Corinthians 2:9-10 (NLT)
The more understanding we have about what concerns us, the more “stable and fixed” we feel. (Psalms 91:1 AMPC) God vocabulary words bring us hope, and “this hope is a strong and trustworthy anchor
for our souls.”
(Hebrews 6:19)
As far as I am concerned, there is no other way to live. Every day can be an adventure when we walk and talk with Him and when we allow Him to cause our thoughts to become agreeable to His will. (Proverbs 16:3 AMPC)

talking to God today. Tell Him your concerns and ask Him your questions - and then let me know how your day went.
