About a week ago, I was water-walking in the pool. I wasn’t thinking about anything in particular when this new thought invaded my brain-space. I knew right away that God was causing my thoughts to become agreeable to His will. The Bible says that as we commit our plans to God—
“He will cause your thoughts to become agreeable to His will,
and] so shall your plans be established and succeed.”
Proverbs 16:3 (AMPC)
As I continued my walking routine, I began to think about my next “21 Days” of blogposts. All of my previous writings are based on having God’s thoughts so we make right choices and be at peace about the success that results. Now I feel like God wants to show us how to apply these principles to making healthy choices for our bodies.
With Thanksgiving less than a page-turn away on our calendars, it’s a great time to practice making healthy choices so that we will be physically fit and strong as this year comes to a close. If we begin right now, we will be well on our way by Thanksgiving—and so motivated by our success that we will keep right on going until the end of the year. Instead of feeling like a frump by January 1st, we could be feeling good about how we are stewarding this body that God loaned to us while we are living on the earth.
Together we will commit each day to God and ask Him to help us think His thoughts so we can be established in a healthy rhythm. And don’t worry about Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years. I think God knows all about holiday meals and I am sure He wants us to enjoy them.
I will use this week and next to prepare us. Then on Sunday, November 1st
we will begin our—
“21 Days To Feeling Fit and Fab.”
Okay, if you are on board here’s your assignment:
1. Begin to formulate your own healthy living plan, using what you think will work for you. (food, exercise, water intake, sleeping, etc.)
2. Submit your ideas to God, asking Him to make any necessary changes.
3. Think seriously of someone to invite to join you on this journey.

We can spare ourselves a lot of trouble, heartache, confusion, exhaustion—and not to mention wasted time and money—by inviting God into the very start of each day.
