It’s almost November and the holidays are coming—ready or not!
We just spent the last eight months navigating some treacherous waters. We had decisions to make that we would never have anticipated. So many aspects of our lives were taken out of our control. Our work and school environments changed drastically. All group events, including going to church each week, closed down, and we were left to creatively find solutions. Life as we knew it—changed!
Thankfully, we as Christians know the One who never changes. God had a good plan for us before the beginning of time, and He has a good plan for us today. I am so grateful for having the revelation that we can submit our plans to Him, and He actually will cause His thoughts to enter into ours, as found in Proverbs 16:3 AMPC. This is when we have the opportunity to make adjustments so that we line up with what He knows will work for us. It is then that we will be “established” and it is then that we will experience “success.”
In my last post, I wrote about preparing a simple plan for successfully walking out the next two months in the following four areas.
Eating——Drinking—-Exercising—-Sleeping
If we can get in a healthy daily rhythm in these areas for the next two months, we will arrive on New Years Day “Fit and Fab” instead of frail and frumpy. What do you say? Are you ready to come on board?
We won’t be talking about calories, fluid ounces, bench pressing a certain number of pounds, or walking/running a certain number of miles. Those things will be unique to each of us.
Here are somethings we will be talking about:
- If we provide the “will,” God will supply the “power.” (ability)
- Defining your “zone” and staying in it.
- What to do when you stray out of your “zone.”
- How to recoup wrong choices by quickly making the right choices.
Not only will we feel better, but we will have an opportunity to develop a working relationship with the One who created us. He designed us, and He knows just how to keep us in good running order.
Okay, if you haven’t already, pencil out a simple plan for yourself in the four areas listed above. In your prayer time, submit it to God and ask Him to tweak it so your plan lines up with His. Then begin to prepare your heart, your home, and your calendar so that you can enter two months of your successful rhythm.

Beginning the day with God puts us in a posture of surrender. We release our plans, seek His wisdom, and step into the peace that comes from trusting His direction.
