We have about 20 days until the end of this year. Maybe the thought has crossed your mind to wait
until January 2nd to join the diet/fitness bandwagon. If that is you, STOP!!
Because the post-holiday diet mentality has visited you, you could be tempted to forfeit 20 days of opportunities to make healthy decisions.*
The older I get, the more I realize how our bodies are a precious commodity. In my younger years, it was all about how I looked and while I still like to look good, I realize it is more about making healthy choices.
By January 2nd, you could—
- lose five or more pounds
- establish an effective exercise routine
- realize water can be satisfying
- be doing your part to get adequate sleep.
So let’s pray our Proverbs Promise:
Father, today I commit my choices to You.
Cause my thoughts to agree with Your will—
So I know what to do.

How does that happen? If you have made Jesus Christ the Lord of your life, His Holy Spirit lives within your transformed spirit.*
He is there to instruct you so that you can be successful.
But when the Father sends the Advocate as My representative—
that is, the Holy Spirit—He will teach you everything
and will remind you of everything I have told you.
John 14:26 (NLT)
We really do have everything—and Everyone we need to be successful today…the next day….and each day there-after. So let’s not wait any longer.
Remember, a healthy body is a gift you give yourself!
