Feeling Fit and Fab #19

I was driving down 84th Street this morning and a suggestion came into my thoughts. “You could stop for an Orange-Cranberry Muffin.”
On my way to do a quick errand, I was about to pass by my new, favorite drive-through coffee kiosk. I only allow myself to stop there for special treats and usually, it’s just for coffee. However, last summer I discovered that they had the best muffins ever—and can I also add that they are huge—and not for the faint of heart!
The suggestion of an Orange-Cranberry Muffin came into my thoughts. Perhaps that’s because I was in a hurry today and did not commit my activities to God. Thankfully, I recognized that this thought was not from God. This time it was obvious and I could say a quick “no way.” At another time, I might have at least considered it but not today!!
Christmas is behind us and it’s time to return to our “zones”. (Blogpost #11) This is a place where we are sowing healthy habits so that we can reap healthy bodies. (Blogpost #7) It’s a place where ”You feel good in your spirits because you are taking care of the body that God gave you—in your souls because you are thinking straight and making choices which are not based on your emotions—and in your body, as you shed extra the pounds and inches that do not belong to you. You also experience a sense of wellbeing when you hydrate, strengthen, and get the sleep that is necessary for your body’s optimum performance.”
The minute we decide to return to our “zone,” we feel energized. This fresh resolve is God coming near as if to say, “I am here. If you ask Me, I will help you.”
If we submit our wills
to God, He will provide the power. This results in entering into a partnership with God so that we can experience a rhythm
that leads to success.
No matter what our habits were like over Christmas, God wants to help us move forward successfully. If we begin today, we potentially have five days to sow healthy habits. I don’t know about you, but that motivates me to return to our simple Proverbs Promise prayer:
Father, I commit (this day, this meal, this event) to You.
Cause my thoughts to agree with Your will—
So I know what to do!
God bless you and remember—“God will be to you as personal as you want Him to be!”

A lot of thoughts enter our brain. Some are based on true and others are what we assume to be true. Those are called false assumptions. These thoughts came to mind a few weeks ago. I knew they were from God because it was simple and concise. “Simplify your life, set it in order, and steward it well.” Refer to to last week’s episode: 92- It’s NOT Working! This week make an appointment—and invite God to come. Ask Him how you can be more successful in each area. And thank Him for being involved in your life.
